What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are government funded training programmes. They are aimed at anyone over 16 years old who is looking not only to gain a real job, but with training provided. Apprenticeships provide a great opportunity to start your path in your chosen job and provide career enhancement opportunities for those already in work. We can place you in a job from day one with an employer who will provide on-the-job training whilst you gain work experience also. Your apprenticeship will be provided by an approved training provided that works closely with Apprenticeships Manchester and will be scheduled to fit with your job.
How Much Does an Apprentice Get Paid?
What you get paid will be at your employer’s discretion and based on what position you are applying for. Currently, the national minimum wage for apprentices is £3.30 per hour as of the 1st of October 2015. See the Government calculator here.
How Do I Apply?
To apply for any of our apprenticeships, simply fill out the form provided on this page or call us on 0161 82 11 802 and one of our advisors will be happy to help with your enquiry about application.
How Long Does an Apprenticeship Last?
This will depend on the level of Apprenticeship you qualify for. As a Guideline an Intermediate level 2 Apprenticeship typically last 15-16 weeks, an Advanced level 3 Apprenticeship typically lasts 12-13 months and a higher level 4 Apprenticeship typically will last 15 months
What Will I Learn?
This will all depend on the job role you are training for. Apprenticeships Manchester has many different apprenticeship routes available and we are continually building relationships with providers to add more valuable apprenticeships to our site. Every apprentice follows a programme of study that is approved by one of the training bodies we work with. This means that you will gain a recognised qualification as well as work experience.
By the end of your apprenticeship you will have the qualifications, skills and experience which match exactly what your employer wants. It also makes you far more employable when you want or need to move on.
Where Would I Train?
Training depends on what Apprenticeship you are doing. Most of our Apprenticeships come with training on the job as well as in our centres. For example, our Social Media Apprenticeship has a 1 day a month training in our Manchester City Centre office as well as online log in and support available and access to Slack (our team communication platform).
More information will be provided to you when you go through the application with us. Simply fill out our form or contact us on 0161 82 11 802 for more information.
